Simcoe Street Church is the perfect place for you to begin a committed life together in marriage, even if you've never attended our church.
Simcoe Street United Church boasts a unique venue for your wedding. Our Sanctuary, a designated historic building constructed in 1867, is the oldest public building in Oshawa. With its 3000 pipe Casavant organ, 36' ornamental timber arches and a pressed tin ceiling, your wedding will truly be one of a kind.
Our Sanctuary can accomodate up to 700 people on the upper and lower levels yet can still provide an intimate setting for smaller weddings too.
We also have a chapel with a capacity of 100 people. A stained glass window behind the altar provides a spectacular background for your wedding.
For those who wish to have their entire wedding in one location we have Memorial Hall that can accommodate up to 175 for a sit down dinner. We can give you contact information for catering in this location.
The Current fee to have a wedding at Simcoe Street United Church is:
This amount includes fees for the Sanctuary/Chapel, the Minister, the Organist, the Wedding Co-ordinator, the wedding seminar and administration fees. To have our Minister perform a wedding at another location, the fee is $225.
