The Fiesta Parade and Celebration is taking place today and will affect traffic along Centre St. and some side streets beginning at 12:30pm

 

Kitchen Renovations have begun!!

Thanks to a thoughtful and generous bequest directed to the UCW by the late Gwen Lailey, new counters are being installed and flooring will be installed next week.

 

SSUC Walkathon Sunday June 27th 1pm!  Please join us for a BBQ lunch immediately after Sunday Service and then a walk to the lake starting at about 1pm. Pledge forms now available from Louise Libby at coffee hour. All proceeds will go towards the Church Restoration fund. Please contact Louise for more information or if you can help out, 905-576-0650.

Our duck race was a huge success! 240 ducks made their way down the Oshawa Creek, much to the delight of crowd that had gathered to watch.  The weather held out, and we were able to enjoy fellowship and fun while picnicking in a lovely park...The grand total raised was $403.00  Congratulations to Corey Boasman (1st place winner and proud trophy holder!), Natalie Gaynor (2nd place) and Laura McGary (3rd place).  Many thanks to those who purchased ducks !! And to our organizers and helpers....and as for "Duck Man"...what can we say ??!!
